LINCOLN PERSONAL DRIVE APP

MY ROLE

As the lead UX designer, I was responsible for user research, design (wireframing and prototyping), and implementation. I worked closely with the development team to ensure the handoff was a success.

THE NEED

To create a black car transportation mobile app that is intuitive and allows the user to quickly schedule airport pickups, reserve a vehicle for a special occasion, and round-trip reservations

THE OPPORTUNITY

With very few black car providers offering mobile app capability, finding comparable benchmarks proved challenging. Most limousine and black car service providers still rely heavily on email and phone-based reservations.

THE SOLUTION

Working with the LPD team, I was able to use Lincoln’s existing style guide. This allowed me to focus my use of color, thereby directing the users eye to what we described as priority clicks.

Project Insight

On this project I used Adobe XD, Adobe Illustrator, and Noun Project. There were legacy files floating around on personal workstations, so I had to locate the assets, create cloud directories, setup an asset library so the handoff to our international team would be easy. I also wrote SOPs to ensure processes were adhearded to in the future.
